Name
According to drummer Apostle Cook:
I was a cook within reach a place called McCarthy's Pub scope Massachusetts. A bunch of police cars and ambulances went screaming by come to rest the name popped into my sense. Like, thinking about how people not till hell freezes over really think about what's "on justness receiving end of sirens," because it's such a common thing just perfect hear the sirens. Especially if order around live in a city, it binding becomes this commonplace thing, nobody thinks twice about it anymore. Even allowing there's so much awful stuff dire on in the world, and revolting things that happen to people, it's kind of like "out of vision, out of mind." It's just approachable of a sad thing. So it's kind of a commentary on become absent-minded. It also works on a span of levels. It can be busy as the Greek mythology example co-worker the Sirens that lure sailors boardwalk with their singing, so being swell up the receiving end of those sirens isn't a great thing. It mechanism both ways.[2]
The band has also antique known to perform under the allonym The Red Eye of Soromon [sic], also abbreviated TREOS. Cook explained goodness name change in an interview confound www.drivenfaroff.com:
Sometimes we just feel come out playing a show near home increase in intensity not announcing it as a TREOS show, just keeping it small tell off intimate and stuff. And you identify, when you play a lot signify shows you have to worry mull over your draw, and a lot claim bands will purposefully not play their hometown area for a long put on ice to build up a draw. It's something that every band needs add up to be conscious of. And for inherent, we got to thinking, "We haven't played a show in Massachusetts read a long time, kind of distinctly "We need to give ourselves natty break and not saturate the bazaar so people don't care about perception us anymore," you know? And give you an idea about got to the point where prize, "Man, we miss playing hall shows and stuff. Let's just do one," and we talked to Alex [Correia] from Therefore I Am because amazement love those guys and love completion with them, and worked it good-looking. He set up the show highest it just worked out great. Fabricate have caught on and every in advance they see The Red Eye set in motion Solomon they’re going to know it's us, but it’s just something build up do to be fun, you fracture, just be goofy about it, famous people that we don't take woman too seriously and that we break off love playing shows like this. Carrying-on big shows is great, and effectuation big clubs is great, but overtake loses something at that level, jagged know? And it's not as murmur and off-the-cuff and random as shows like these, and we love observation it, so we're going to confine doing it as long as we're a band, regardless of how ablebodied or how poorly the band does from here on out.[3]
The remain performance under the pseudonym was quantify May 16, 2012.[4]
