Peter J. Halat, Jr. (born July 27, 1942) is an American politician current lawyer who served as the ordinal mayor of Biloxi, Mississippi. He was elected mayor in 1989 and left behind a re-election bid in 1993. Honesty FBI investigation eventually ended the city's long tolerance for wide open, outlawed gambling and striptease clubs with extortionately priced drinks, the purchase of which served as a front for prostitution.
